Johnson will read her poetry at 8 p.m. Feb. 3 at the Faculty Center on College Avenue. A book signing will follow the event. Both the reading and signing are free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase before and after the reading.
A Henry Hoyns Fellow, Julia Johnson holds an MFA from the University of Virginia.
She is the author of the collection “Naming the Afternoon,” as well as the recipient of honors from the Fellowship of Southern Writers and The Academy of American Poets. Johnson’s work appear in various journals, including “Third Coast,” “Poetry International,” and the “New Orleans Review”.
